damn suspension!

Post by Corsa84 »

okay im gettin a headache now!

2 days ago i installed my new jamex 60mm suspension springs/shocks.

when my car was standard the exhaust used to bang, then i lowered it on 4omm jamex springs and it banged even more, now at 60mm it still bangs but not anymore than it did at 40mm.

ive noticed that when the boot has shopping in or if one of the kids are sat in the backseat or whatever i now get a ''new'' noise.

its like a creaking/groaning sound,as if its coming from the new suspension? it sometimes does it if there is only me in the car and i set of fast at traffic lights etc.its deffo coming from the rear this new noise.

any ideas coz now ive got bangs, creaks and groans lol. :o
I'd rather push a Corsa,than drive anything else. : )

double check it make sure evrything setup
but bear in mind that its lower than before since the back end is travling further down than usual
could just be its not "used" to bein lower and may wear off once all the muck and what have you has rubbed off the joints

if that makes sence

How many miles have you done since the new suspension? May just be a case of it settling in.

get under and have a look and give the exhaust a shake and see if you can see were its bangin, it might just need adjustin abit. see if the rear springs are in place properly and that there isnt any paly in them, see if anything happens when you bounce each corner of the car aswel and see if you can hear the noise when doing this
Drive it like you stole it
