you have to use special primer for the plastic or it will peel off but cant remember what its called and still got to use plastic paint. i woudnt bother, strip the paint off the go over the plastic with heat gun and will bring it back to black

No you don't. You can use any paint you like. Plastic primer, not always required. I used high build primer on mine and it works fine.

Have you actually sprayed anything? If you haven't don't give advice. I've sprayed quite a lot and know what I'm talking about.

Im a fully trained sprayer bin spraying for 2years and work for one of the biggest crash repair centres in the uk. If u want to do it properly so it last first u meed to key the surface us a grey scotch brite pad then a primer if its bare plastic u will need a bare plastic primer know as a plastic adhesion spray then use a grey plastic primer do a good 2-3 coats then knock of with a wet p1000 sand paper after that spray the colour of your choice put first coat on then leave to flash of (using a heat gun make work alot quicker) then do same again and again till all is covered the last coat should be a controlled coat aka a drop coat when u spray the paint ever so fine into the air and let the paint drop onto the surface. Then leave to dry and finally 1 coat of laquer and ur done :)

^^^ this is the proffesional way of doing it if u follow my advice u wont exsperience any paint flaking nomore. I should know i spray around 7-8 cars a day :)
