Evening Guys, I'm Rick and new here. I'm doing a few bits at the minute so you'll probably be seeing a bit more of me here
I'm currently doing a boot build for my corsa, finished cutting all the wood just a few bits to screw together and carpeting to be done.
Anyway, I'm just wondering what point you guys are grounding your amps to? I found a point behind the nearside back light cover, one of the screws that holds the rear light in. But i'm unsure if this is good as I'm having power issues with the amp. I ran a voltage tester on the terminals on the amp, and got nothing. Now this could be down to either the +12v or my ground point. (I have checked the fuse in the power lead/amp and these seem fine)
Anyone shed any light on this? Cheers.

if you look at the behind the nearside light cover there should be a ground cable already bolted to the body
i used that

Re: Boot ground point for amplifier
Well I ground it to the point behind the nearside rear light (how did I miss that) and still nothing. I removed the fuseholder on the +12v and ran the wire from there, did a test on the end and no voltage came up at all so I must have a faulty cable. Luckilly I work in the electrical industry so I'm going to try running a piece of 6mm 6491b tonight instead. Bastard to pull all the wiring out again though!
