alloys?

im after getting some 17" inch alloys with some pretty low profile tyres on, just wondering if there likley to fit? whats the biggest people have got on their cars without problems? cheers

You can have 17x7 with 205/40 tyres. Not a lot of people like them as big as 17's tho. 15 is more usual. 195/50/15

ah cheers mate these tyres i seen are 205/45? ah its cool i like the big alloys and there goin fairly cheap, cheers

45 profile may cause some rubbing problems but I don't know for sure. Oh, make sure the offset of the wheels is correct for your car, et45-49.

got 195/55r15s on mine and the only problem i have is the rear righ wheel arch rubs wen i hit a dip, thats without it being lowered too. lowered the front 40mm and they are level in the arches

any wider and you will attack the rear bumper imo

in my opinion i think some 16" rims would look better. i have a set of 16's on my corsa and they look pretty sweet.

cheers, people, i already got some 15"s on it now and there alright alloys like, but there sittin in proper chunky tyres and looks like a tractor lol so i got springs to slam it down a bit, do you think im better off lowerin it and slimming the tyres a bit? still keep the 15s? cheers

On the deck with Low Pros on 15" ftw 8)

If I ever bother to lower mine i'm going low pros on 14"...

They probably look chunky because they aren't low profile. What are the specs of the 15's?

i had 195/55/15 lowered 40mm with no rubbin etc at all..

Yeah i've considered it...If I keep it I may slap a pikey spring set on it.

Realisitically though, my Corsa is meant to be the practical run about. I have a coilovered Mk1 Golf with a knackered sump and oil pick up sitting outside...

mines a practical run about haha but i dont have any worries with the sump etc on the 195/55/vr15s and lowered on front

and i have to drive across fields often for the old man lol
