Corsa B rear shocks.

Post by Cobrac »

Hi, when I go over dips in the road, and the suspension goes down theres a scraping noise, which I think maybe the inner arches at the rear catching the tyres!

Does this sound likely ? and is it an easy DIY / cheap fix? Its an L reg 1.2 Corsa B.

Thanks

sounds more like rear backbox catching on rear axle.its a common fault with corsa.mine does it all the time coz mines lowered and the backbox is even closer to the axle.

hope this helps.
I'd rather push a Corsa,than drive anything else. : )

Thanks. will take a look.... I did give the exhaust a shove, but that seems to be solid, however, I take it the back box could still move - will have a better look tomorrow in the light.

Thanks!

i had that noise too
it was the clamp that holds the back box to the middle pipe on mine
i just turned it around so the bolts we're facing up to the car
hope it helps :) :)

You could also look inside the arches for marks to see if it is the wheels rubbing. If it is the wheels I would suspect the springs before the shocks.
