My Corsa Project

Post by AllCorsa_Alex »

Hey up im alex from devon. Got a flame red corsa 1.2, nice little car except its slow as f**k!

A few pics of what the car was like when I bought it:

Straight away I put mudflaps all round on it, debadged the rear and sides, added a few accessories I had been given, and gave the car a good clean inside and out! Oh and added my L plates lol!

Tax disc:

I then had to replace the rear wiper as it was knackered, put a brand new one in, but looking back now I should have put a punto wiper there instead tbh :(

Had a bit of a crash in the country lanes in august 2009:

Bought a black wing mirror from scrappies, got some primer and flame red paint from Halfords, sprayed it red and fitted it on =)
Got the dent pulled out, good as new..nearly. and fillered the wheel arch and sprayed it black to fill it the crack it had from the crash.

Rear 3 windows tinted in limo black, will get better pics tomorrow

Red dustcaps, not done a very good job tbh as it was dark and i couldnt be bothered to give them a second coat of primer, and only gave it one coat of red paint as the spray can was empty lol

yeah seat covers are a bit poo lol but tbh they were only lke £10 i think and do the job, and work well with the red/black theme so im happy
nah im not a learner, passed my test about 2months ago or somin =)

im thinkin about stripping my back seats out tbh, save some weight, as i only need the driver and passenger seats for monday - friday, but i kinda need the back seats for weekend sometimes so not sure about that yet
thinking about sunstrip nxt, air filter, meybe extension spoiler, not sure what else to do atm, possibly a redtop conversion in a couple years (:

just a pic of whats its like atm; Image

ideas of what to do next? wt do you think of;
  • drilled air box or exhaust back box if i can find a cheap 1
    silver bee sting aerial
finish my window tinting(rear window left)
respray dust caps red again, respray drivers mirror again but this time sand it so its smoother n actually laquer it and spray a bit of the center console too
    fit pedal covers
    new outside temperature sensor
    new rear shocks
    white led sidelights
restore paintwork and restore wheel arch and bumper plastics
maybe allcorsa sticker or kenwood sticker in rear quarter windows?
    sunstrip?
paint brake calipers and drums red
    tint my side repeaters
red boot neons, need some that have a permentant on and off switch and that connect into the cig lighter though
maybe fiat punto/maera rear wiper if i can find one for pennies?
n maybe the get the small dent pulled out even better?
opinions?? obviously money is the main issue atm lol damn it bein a student :(

theirs loads of stuff you can do yet mate, drop her to the ground 8) and stick some 15" alloys on her with a 40mm drop you'l be fine, orr do a 40mm drop with 17" alloys you will have to adjust your arches slightly but it will fit :) then you can get your mums hair dryer and heat up the plastic bump strips on the doors and pull them of for starters, then get new tinted black side repeaters to blend in with the black trim. then remove your back box and make up a new one by just getting a piece of pipe and welding an exhaust hanger bracket on it :) that will give you the sporty sound. or if you want to go the whole way, decat it, and get a larger centre exhaust and rear exhaust. buy a green cotton or k&n or Pipercross cone filter OR panel filter then drill the holes in the bottom of the air box, buy an after market steering wheel such as momo etc, take the badges of your boot and take the rear wiper of your boot and put a rubber bung in its place that will give you a smoother look on the rear. urmm oh but a rear strut brace and a front upper strut brace but make sure its a good one otherwise you wont notice any difference, oh also get hold of a corsa diesel front anti roll bar as they are larger than that on standard corsa's and SRI and GSI corsa's. some other stuff to but iv forgot lol

you can buy them from halfrauds, its just sticky back basically. looks bit chav'y to be honest unless you go the whole hog and get the proper race fuel flap.
