help my 1.4 8v corsa b ls keeps playing up

hello all

im a newbie to the corsa b forum. so hello!

i have a bit of a problem with my 1.4 8v m reg ls.
was my sisters car but after it starting playing up she bought a new car so now its mine.

the problem is: it wont idle in the same place, sometimes high, other times low. also seems to drink fuel, and for a 1.4 it feel gutless it feels slow.

so far i have changed: throttle position sensors, dizzy, dizzy cap, rota arm, leads, plugs, coil pack and the lil black box mounted behind it, lambda sensor, idle control valve, injector seals, and its had oil change and a new timing belt.

so there is only a crank shaft sensor, and inlet temp sensor and ecu left to change.

so can anyone help me?

did you use an idle control valve with the same part number,if it came out of another corsa it could be completely wrong try another throttle body complete and see if that makes a differance also if its got a distributor you will be all day trying to find the crank sensor it hasnt got one

try spraying wd40 around the throttle body, inlet manifold and see if the revs pick up, a gasket or pipe could have split drawing in extra air which could be causing it to hunt and drink fuel.

mine started with those symptoms then started randomly cuttin out then misfiring on full boot, replaced almost everything then bang and a big cloud of steam and white smoke, its now in bits getting head gasket done. same age and engine too, well the mpi version.
