Stupid as peanut butter sounds it works. Again i aint tried it personaly but have seen the before and after and it looks like show room quality!! Black Shoe polish 1st then back to black keeps the shine for a long time. Will give the peanut butter a go at the weekend.

Hello mate, i know this is slightly old now but when i had my Flame Red corsa i used Meguiars three stage car detail and it worked a treat. I will post up some pictures when i get in of how it turned out after using the products.
It is expensive, and takes about 4 hours, but it has a paint cleaner, polish and a wax. It gives the car a real nice deep shine.
With regards to the black trims, iv heard good things about using peanut butter because of the oil in it (obviously), i tried WD40 which worked quite well, but the best i found was Back to Black which came up really well and lasted the longest.
Also, getting your car looking clean takes weeks, make sure you clean it every two weeks (or every week if you have the time/weather). It isnt so bad with white cars as they dont tend to fade, but with my red corsa it was an on going battle keeping her red and not letting her go pink
Hope this helps

yeh its not faded...theres just loads of poo everywhere on the painwork from the previous owner..like for instance around the arches theres black crap..im guessin they used something rubbish on the arches and just rubbed it all over the body lol
