The 106 looks dead smart with them.
I think your car would suit them ... if you do use a brush then you could paint them black and paint a white rim around the edge that would look dead smart too!
You will have to get pics up when your done
i wanna do mine now too

defo a gr8 idea...do it ... but buy some cav steelies or summat coz they a bit wider ...and btw defo prime them or you'll get em peeling and that will look poo !!!! .. but white will look the muts nuts on a white motor .......try get different from standard corsa ones they a bit thin and a bad pattern on em..if ur going rally then stick with steelies instead of alloys and get cav ones !!!!...all in the prep work btw !!!!

danthemann wrote:shouldnt have to spend alot..as long as i key them properly i shouldnt need to prime them..not like i need a perfect finish lol.so will only cost me whatever the paint costs..probz only need 2 cans of the 500ml halfords cans..so about £12-15.cheaper than a set of wheel trims lol.
how easy would it be to mask them off etc? anyone done it before?
Hello fella, like a few have said, give it a go, defo cheaper than a set of alloys, and if you f**k them up, you have only spent under £20, but you will get more experience of spraying stuff, which comes in really handy (not sure if you do mucj spraying, but defo worth getting a decent level of confidence in)
Also, with regards to masking them up, i recently refurbished my girlfriends Clio alloys, with tyres on. Not the best idea, but i managed to get a quality job done. I will add some pictures of them when i get in from work.
If you need any help with it, drop me a PM.
And get some pictures up of your progress, the more pictures & tips/advice you give while doing them, the more confidence people will have in doing there own alloys or even things like colour coded mirrors etc

yeh i do have a set of steelies with decent tyres on but dunno if they will fit, think they are a bit big-the tyre code on em is 175/70 r13
they are also 4 stud.i havnt had the time to mess about tryin em on lol..so if anyone knows if they would fit it would be a great help-coz they are slightly bigger and wider than my ones that are on there now.
and yeh im pretty good with sprayin, but obvs the more i do the better im gonna get.and when i come to do it-whichever way i do it lol-il make sure i ltake lots of pics and put em on a fresh post on ere.someone suggested doing it with a brush tho? spose it would be alrite but the finish wont be the same.
and i need a easy way of maskin of the tyres-dont really want whitewall tryes lol

best way i found with taping the tyres is, deflate them, then get some really thick masking tape (2" stuff) and pull it off in small lengths and just tuck it down behind the tyre. This way you can do the front lip and most of the back lip of the wheels

yeh that makes sense...any idea on if them other steelies i mentioned above will fit or not? be alot easy to do then.coz ovawise gotta take all wheels off deflate em,thn take em up farm to inflate them agen,so if i got spare set to do em on i can jus chuk em all in bak of car n do all at once.
