I find it funny how the 1.0's have more power than the 1.2's :D . my 1.0 seems pretty quick, its got great acceleration till you hit 40, then it takes forever

to tell u the truth my one was a 1.2 8v till i slapped redtop in now running 165 bhp, 1.2 only runs 45 bhp, there isnt any point in making em quicker coz in harsh words they are just completely useless, but very easy to work on, i have mine stripped out and it made difference to redtop and wen 1.2 was in but no that much to redtop, i also have cut springs until i changed em coz they handle rubbish and damage ur chassis and could also wear down one shock quicker than other, hope it helps

and to answer ur question it is really easy for an engine change, 1.2 to redtop was piss, just make sure u buy conversion mounts and running gear, also need to get rubber or even a power cap from a vectra otherwise wont fit

got the same engine & edition.
Unfortunately, all you can do is air filters, chop the exhaust, get a backbox, that's all worth doing to them engine wise.

No point in going for lightweight cams or anything 'cus it's a big waste of money.
Do them mods ^ for now, then swap the engine eventually.

we put a center section in, a cat cos it didnt have one n the back box i have on now is about 4" but is quieter with the other bits on, :meh: we had an airfilter of a scoobie but it was stupidly big, i was told putin a airfilter on a 1.2 was point less n wud just kill the engine xx :(
