I don't think i'll be drilling the airbox, I dont wanna take a drill to my car lol, love it too much ha!
Could you put some pics of this miscellaneous bit of tubing up m8? Dont wanna rip the wrong one out haha.
Thanx
Dont get an induction kit, just get a decent panel filter, and put it in the standard air box (undrilled) thats what i did, and it sounded mint.
With regards to the 'useless tube' in the air box. Simply open the top of air box, take out the air filter and you will see a tube under the filter, simply remove this.
EDIT
The reason i have said not to get an induction kit is because the corsa engine gets very hot, therefore with an induction kit with a cone filter say, you will suck it alot of hot air, which will make your car run lumpy, the best air for your engine is cold air. Therefore, if you use the standard airbox with a performance panel filter, you will suck air in through the grill, into the box.
yerr i aqree with this guy im currently running my 1.0 12v with pipercross cone filter but im using a cold air feed ducting pipe from the front grill to help with the cool air....[/quote]
Cheers mate
Yeah if you can get a cold air feed to the cone filter it will help, but the filter is still surrounded by hot air, which will result in lower performance. Also just putting a performance panel filter in the standard airbox you save alot of time and hassle, messing around with pipes/brackets etc fitting the air duct

hello guys i have a 1.2 16v i had k&n on mine and killed the mass air flow metre costing me 200 pound.
thi happened cos when sitting in traffic there is no cold air bein drawn in to the engine bay so all u get is heat which will melt
the sensor. dont drill the box because that will just draw in heat as well. romove little cone inside box,use panel filter im currntly
useing green cotton and is very good.
now the exhaust, get back box no bigger than 3 inch other wise looks stupid 4 nice grumble get a remus race pipe,no silencer just straight pipe.
i have a 3 inch sportex back box with remus race pipe and sounds amazing when starting it sounds like a turbo with a lovely deep burble and and
4 thousand revs she has a rasple not amazing.
hope this helps mate i no its an essay but worth it
