Re: MOT failure...
Hey bud! That nova's bonnet scoop, is it functional or is it just a stick on? Where did you get it from? I need one for my crsa to feed the carbs with air, and that one looks exactly like one im looking for. Where is it from?

Re: MOT failure...
well, engine is in now!! we took the complete engine out of the 1400 car, then split the gearbox, then split the 1200 engine from the gearbox in the engine bay of jades car, leaving the gearbox in the engine bay and removing the engine, we then droped the 1400 engine in but couldnt line it up with the gearbox. so we removed the 1400 engine and gearbox from jades car and fitted the engine to the gearbox, the throttlebody didnt come with the engine so we fitted that too, we then fitted the 1400 and gearbox in jades car. after wireing it all up etc it didnt start. we automatically assumed that when trying to attatch the 1400 to the gearbox that wed bashed the starter motor and funked it. by this time it was late sunday nite, so we left the car and cot a lift home in a combo van, much fun, jade and alan in the front, me and cranny in the back, with no seats nevermind seatbelts!! regardless to say we diddnt make it too peel till around 11pm, and by then it was dead!! after a lie in monday morning we took the omega through to carry on with the corsa, obtained a startermotor and fitted it, and it still didnt start!! so we swapped the 1400 wireing harness and ECU with the origional 1200 wireing harness and ECU and by around 7pm had it running, 2 hours late for work!! but regardless its running. to get it home alan and cranny followed in the corsa while me and jade drove the omega, the corsa hit 120mph easy with the 1400!! so is much better than the 90mph from the 1200!!
all in all we had a canny weekend with plenty of funny moments including alan geyying lifted up by his jeans on the engine hoist and jade getting kegged!!
my appologies do go to mobis, expected to be finished in time but will definatly be up around 7.30pm/8pm this sunday!! sorry for your wasted journey!!

Re: MOT failure...
rite then, now got a running pic-and-mix motor!! 1.4 bottom end on a 1.2 top end, gonna stick 1.4 wireing harness and ECU on during the bank holiday weekend, which should (in theory) make it go faster!! fitted some m3 mirrors as the standard o/s one was f**k due to a fat lad kicking it off in a temper (i.e. me) see what happens!!
no pics though!! was too busy to take any!!
to be completely honest, im pig sick of the corsa, had f**k all but bother with it since i bought it!! stuffed the battery on the nova and after standing for about 9 months started up first time and never missed a beat!! tax runs out on the corsa end of this month and im thinking of putting the nova on the road, lot less hastle!!
