someone on a vxr forum i'm on got pulled in a standard burg because 'it is too loud' apprantly police are clamping down on noisy cars! don't know how true this is or whether he was being generally being a twot but got me worried

no, u just remove the old one slot the new one in and it comes with a clamp to secure it on to the rest of the system to with you will need some firegum to get a gas tight seal round it, and your doneRoot wrote:any wielding etc to fit?

police can stop you for whatever reason they want.
i once got pulled one for no reason whatsoever expect i was driving a modified car
police told me it was because my MOT was due to run out in a day and wanted to remind me it was due which i already knew
have also been stopped (or questioned) when i stopped at the side of the road to have a smoke, asked me if it was my car n why i had stopped.
the only problem with driving a modified car, police see you as easy targets and will spend ages checking eveything out just looking for one tiny thing they can do you for.

They literally can make up reasons on the spot on reasons why to stop you (obviously, their initial reason being you're wearing a baseball cap, you're black, you're a young driver) or whatever, but they can't use them as reasons).
