i had a black 1.6 16 valve corsa with 1 years no claims it was £2300 third party only be cause of my age as i am only 18... its not worth it tbh i think my 1.4 corsa sport is quicker. althought the 1.6 had a top end of 145. that was bouncin tho lol. but like i said my 1.4 was very quick. i love it.... keep to the 1.4 matey

yes but if some1 bumps you then you can still find it hard to claim..
so its not just about how safe of a driver you are

1.4 16v sport (x14xe) good solid engines ,nippy , not fast or ''rapid'' as the chavs say , its a 1.4 with 90 bhp nothin special really, 0- 62 is 10. 6 seconds according to haynes manual not spectacular ,handling aint to bad standard ,rolls on tight corners and islands at speed ,awsome on coilovers on 16 inch alloys , electric pack is good , power steeering , electric heated mirrors , electric windows , central locking ,alarm ,air con etc , id be happy to call it the best allrounder , the 1 litre 3 pot 12v , is annoying on tick over it rocks side to side slightly and the engine noise is awfull , 1,2 16v not bad i had the sxi and would have benifited from elec windows power wasnt to bad either and the 1.6 16v gsi (pre ecotec ) was a good car but insurance was crazy , as with the 1.6 sport (ecotec block) slower than the gsi but everythin was the same as the 1.4 other than the extra 20bhp and in my opinion the extra 20 bhp doesnt warrent the the massive difference in insurance premiums

i agree the engine sounds great with k and n air filter
as for the janspeed manifoid totally depends on other mods done
but for instance k and n 57i induction , cat back exaust , sports cat , plus manifold on the 1.4 sport ur lookin at around 10 - 15 bhp increase the corsa bs do react well to breathing modifications
