well it defenitly is the head gasket jordy
me and a friend attempted to do it but we couldnt
it cost me 67qwid for new head gasket set and head bolts, oil, and oil filter. i have a mobile mechanic coming in the morning to fit it for me. hes chargeing me 190 to fit it and he said it will be an extra 30-40 if the head needs skimming. anyone think its a good price? or could i get cheaper?

i have no idea tbh, and how couldnt yous do it? did you follow haynes manual or just go for it? where did you get your head set from? eurocarparts.co.uk is cheapish for parts, but my brother in law is a manager at a garage so gets everything for really cheap lol, and i think it is a bit dear, did you tell him you had all the bits for it? should only take a couple hours to put it back together, i might do my head gasket soon cause there bad on corsa's, but cba wi it lol, if it holds till i get a c20ne then im not bothered lol,

no sorry but you can get it skimmed for cheap enough mate, if its really bad go to scrappies and get one, i was thinkin earlier that it could just be the gasket cause my sump was porous on old mot failure sheet, well on advisory and i got a brand new one for 30 pound inclding filter and oil and 2 pound for gasket, and found out there was nothing wrong wi the sump.

i know i can get it skimmed but he seems to think there would be a little crack in it somewhere and it would be a waste of time fitting the new gaskets incase it just does the same. i really dont know what to do, i dont wank the be buying a head incase it aint even that. i still think myself it is the head gasket. i think i will get another mecahnic and have a second opinion on it
