thinners removes paint
never known white spirit to. i stand to be corrected though as i might be wrong but it didnt remove my paint when me and pricer took a badge off mine

Just done mine white sprite never mad eno differance to the paint work and took me a total of two hours to do the corsa and the 12v badge in that time thats including wax polishing it got an ace finish look...

And believe me i panick about using things on my car paintwork my dad owns his own body shop and when young lads bring there cars down to be debadged he does it in the same way as others have mentioned....

and that picture was straight after id done it pal.. dont worry i panicked abit but thought its worth a try and got excellent results after i got the glue off i washed the area..waxed dryed then merr polished it.. and thats the finish i got on the area... just the vauxhall badge to do now.. let us know how you get on pal..

see th button for opening the boot. is th plastic around it on with glue aswell? like can you take it off and just hav th button sticking out?
will let you know wen i do. work tomorrow till 10pm lol

i just used a screwdriver in a rag to peel it off and used sticky stuff remover from my mates mum and came off no probs lol, and yeah you can but youd need to either weld a plate over the hole or fibreglass and filler it all and the usual prime and paint, dewipering makes rear end look million times better aswell mate

i wouldnt take the surround off the boot button imo i think it will look far to plane like that.. but hey thats just me... dewiper and debadged does the world of difference on the arse end... makes it look much more tidyer..

im gonna semi smooth my boot but keep key hole cause it dont have central locking and its too much hassle wi boot poppers and all that

Yeah i see what you mean im going to smooth mine off keep the boot button and might even remove the number plate recees.
