I have had a few 16V versions where the oil pressure switch 'ruptures' internally & allows oil to seep out. This will put the oil warning light on for sure.

no short one is the drivers side mate, and i forgot to mention about the eml whoever has done work on this car of before you has got to have wired it to the oil light for it to come on and on simutaniously

aye cheers for that mate. i unplugged oil pressure switch and neither of the lights come on when i turned on egnition so god knows why someones wired eml to the oil switch lol

its a way round turning the eml off if it on and you come to sell it, comes on with oil light on ignition and goes out when you start it up!

sorry i forget to say that i fixed the problem lol.

it was the paper oil filter that had been in less than a week.

took it out put new one in problem solved. them filters are a joke lol.
