Right its lighting up but there was no sound so i took the sub off and it wasnt connected so i connected them and it still isnt working, what do you guys think?

is the remote wire thats going to the head unit going through to the sub?. you might have it connected up (explains why its lighting up) but if the head unit isnt powering the amp fully there might be a problem with it. The remote wire was a pain with mine as i had the same problem, i connected the remote wire to the blue wire on the adaptor that you plug in the back of your head unit. you can pick up wire connectors cheap.

you will need to re-cone in. go on youtube and search 'subwoofer recone' and there will be a few videos on it. its a bit easier seeing someone do it that me explaining on here. its a bit of a lenghty process btw :-p
