So its not just what the arch will fit because the lower you go the skinnier the tyre has to be to adjust for natural camber, 40mil should be fine with wider than 195, but anything over that I'd stick to 195 and anything over ~60mil I'd consider a skinnier tyre
Great thanks. I'm not planning to lower it at all so 215/45/17 would actually fit? I'm just wondering how wide I could go to give me more option.
Around 195/55/16 is probably what ill be going for but might go for a 195 or 205 /45/17 if they are a better deal

The corsa b doesnt take 17s as ave tried numerous times the arches have to be rolled to get them to sit right as most sit way to close to the arch and rub like hell tbh and the tyres will be replaced a hell of a lot more often with worn out side walls on the tyres but as stance says its dependant on the rims if u can get any that sit further in the arch its less likely to rub most I tried were too wide on the wheel
