Is gearbox off its mount? If so then a good wiggle should break the seal and allow it move out
The oil will come out anyway so don't worry about it yet, I'll get a pic on where you top it up
You say gearbox and bell houseing, there One and the same to me and I take it your taking about the shell as bell housing so what do you mean as gearbox? This is the downside of forums, it's hard to explain these things without being there

furthermore, can it be done without taking our the drivers side drive shaft as it seems to have rusted and cant bang it out. i have taken out the paseger side and do i have to take it out of the transmission or can i get away with leaving that side in.
ps-tried tapatalk again guys, what a load of rubbish. have managed to install it but wont let me upload any of my pics through my phone. i have an s2. I wish they would leave everything alone and what was wrong with the good old fashioned way. Anyway, sorry about that, just getting frustated, rant over
