I had a micra, was a great little car at the start but everything started going all at once and it became really thirsty on petrol all of a sudden. Wasnt worth fixing.

A bit too far for me mate
budget's around £700 and i'm located near Birmingham, West Mids.
I've now been advised (buy a mechanic) to look at a few different things. A 1.25 or 1.3 Ford Fiesta, 1.0 Polo, Starlet, Swift or another B if I can find one that hasn't been abused by a young driver haha. So that's broadened my search a little bit, it's just finding one I like. I'm not really a fan of the Fiesta's unless they have the Zetec S bodykit on, so i'll look for the others first

Ahh fair enough! In my opinion I would say a B as your first choice but if a good starlet pops up especially an SR definitely get one! I grew up with a SR as a child and we all loved it and it lasted a good solid 10 years and is still going now! I wanted a starlet but I got the B for free and I'm slowly loving it more and more

I think i'm swinging towards a Polo tbh, they're growing on me quickly haha. I'll always have a soft spot for B's, i'll always consider it to be my first car really. Maybe I should keep it that way

And Starlet coilovers are like Micras, £400+ so that'd be a no
