Only had today to work on the car as new job looms tomorrow.
Order my new tyres at thr start of the week, went for yoko A539\'s a truely dangerous tyre in wet conditions, but in the dry on track they dont\' melt, which was top of my list for important quailties of the tyres, not bothered abotu wet handlign so much, £122 delivered to my door
Also picked up some other 15\" alloys from a friend as he didn\'t want them anymore. they are 5spoke tigra ones I think, 6\" wide, look the difference between these and my 7\" trackday wheel
With some clever birds eye veiw photgraphy I managed ot get an idea what they lookliek with rubber on them:
Tried the new ones on the car so get an idea of how they\'ll look and ot measure up for bigger discs too
Then thought\'d I\'ve finally get round to fitting the polybushed to the front tie bar mounts as the car has always been a little vauge under heavy right foot, pointing and worn tie bar bushes.
While I was under there I took a few pics of the sensors for my oil gauge as mentioned before.
Here\'s the oil pressure switched, I had the machien shop make up an elbow for me and it replaced the std pressure, and is tucked nicely otu the way
And the oil take off plate for the oil cooler was drill and tapped to take the temperature probe for after the cooler to I know what temp the oil is when it\'s fed back in to the engine, the gauge is set to go off at 115deg C
Still need to tighten up the pipes for it as you can see still a bit leaky, I\'m just being lazy about it cause I know it\'s a messy job
Also dropped the front drivers side engine mount 12mm as the engine didn\'t look level in the bay, but the pics aren\'t interesting enough to put up.
More to come in the week hopefully.
