you need to look at the rms ratings some of the cheaper comp have an rms of 30-40w

i could recommend some comps but there twice your budget saying that alpine comps arnt bad for the money

dont forget you need a set of adapter rings aswell the standard speaker wire in the door loom is good for 100w rms anything over that and you should rewire the doors

well i\'ll be running them off my jvc headunit, which is rated at 4x50w rms. so the wiring should be fine.

so am i right in thinking that buying speakers with an external cross over included, is worth the extra money??

Cheaper comps have the crossovers built into the back of tweeters. An external x-over does a better job of splitting the frequences to the mids and tweets so in theory it will sound better and give you better sq

ok i\'ve now narrowed it down to either these alpine speakers or these infinity ones.

any views on either would be much appreciated, \'cus i don\'t really want to shell out 80 quid on some speakers if there gonna be rubbish.
