Lotus ha the only thing lotus on the corsa is the facelifts suspension and even thats a pile of poo, i can see the turbo diesel having your unmodded engine. plus just by wacking on the r1 carb i cant see you getting 60bhp out of it with a standard manifold, an exhaust is as good as its weak point so you may have a magnex decat but if its not getting there its not going to make a huge difference. I can see the 1.5td standing up well and considering ive gt 111mph out of my 1.2 130 seems feesible modded

Well an ibiza is a VW in a disguise init, yea my mate at revo said all he had to do was remap one of those 130bph tdi's and they would go to like 150bhp and 300lb/ft torque or sumit crazy like that, odviously the gsi wouldnt keep up

overheater987 the X16Xe was designed by lotus, dont care what you think, i have done the research and that is true, no questions about it! I know the suspention was redesigned and that is crap but the x and i said the GSi will be about 150-160 bhp with the carb, 421 manifold and being cammed, it is not an unreasonable figure to aim for

Yea torque is where its at, my engine is more revvy than torque'y lol
8 seconds aint bad, mine shouldnt be 2 far off that, gotta get the 14"s back on it.
What increases torque then? apart from a V8 conversion haha

I was looking at the latest Astra Gsi the other day, u know the turbo 1's 2003 i think it was...... oh i well want 1, looking at 6k i recon though would be brilliant fun one of those though, just slam it on coil overs and its good to go really! U seen any of them?

im taking the extreme aproach by humiliating people by beating them in a fully moded vegetable oil powered corsa :p
that will wipe the smiles off of their faces:P:P

mines remapped to 170bhp and 300nm torque, which is the limit (and its taxing the cambelt at that)
any more power and the clutch just slips with an uprated clutch can be mapped to 200bhp with no other mods
Jabba Sport has a skoda fabia vRS (which has the same 1.9 TDI ASZ engine as mine) which is mapped up to 247bhp and about 500nm torque it goes like stink!
(of course its not just a re-map it has a IHI turbo upgrade too and a FMIC etc etc)
which tbh isnt bad considering the leon turby derv seat run in the BTCC is 270bhp
