Re: Black and Green Corsa Project
Looks really good mate.
Looks abit dark from outside (inside the car) but looks good.
I'd like to do something to my roof lining. How easy is it to take it off??
Shame they don't do white roof lining paint!!
Your going to PV show aint ya!??

Re: Black and Green Corsa Project
the roof lining was really easy to take off really cos the two adhesive patches on the roof had unstuck from the liner but still stuck to the roof. Removed one cos it was half hangin from the roof too (plus each one weighs probs half a pound to a pound in weight each!!). just had to remove the A-pillars running by the window, B-pillars with drivers seat belts in the middle and C-pillars with rear passenger seatbelt bit and run ova top off rear windows. u need to undo half the rear plastic boot panels (surrounding rear lights) so u can undo a couple screws that hidden securing the bottom of c-pillars. Then each panel has push fit wedge clips that push into holes in the metal panels to help secure em....just pull at em carfully and they just pop out.for example, the A-pillars running down the front widows have one torx screw to undo behind a little circle plastic cover. just pull from the top outwards and it feels like it may snap but keep pullin carefully and each pressure clip will release and the pillars just comes away. it shouldnt snap unless ur way to vigerous...u do that and u may hit the front window and break that lol.
once u removed these panels the roof liner is just tucked away up behind some the rubber seals. use a screwdriver or ur finger and run it under the seals and prize the edges of the roof lining panel out. the lining is a solid kinda spongey material...so u need to take it out the boot cos if u bend it to much it could snap quite easily. so dont remove it on a windy day or it may get caught in the wind and bend. u'll see what i mean once u get it out. it not just fabric glued to the roof like in older cars, for example cadilacs! then just reverse process to get it back in...i was told it difficult to line up again but it wasnt really. just a bit of a pain to keep first edge in it seal as i did other sides...was doin on my own but it only took 10 mins to get it back in the car. Spent about 4-5hrs max removin and puttin everythin back in the car but i also painted the B and C pillars. i re-upholsted the A pillars in leather previously.

Re: Black and Green Corsa Project
i will drop the engine out myself with a mate and sandblast the engine bay and paint it oruselves in high temp black engine bay paint. will be cheaper to get the engine conversion drop aswell if we take out the engine. found a place that will do it for £300-£400 if i have the engine out already and car on jacks so they can do gearbox, brakes etc.
