Checked water levels earlier today and my bottle was empty so topped back up. I also noticed the yellow pressure cap is cracked. So ordered a replacement.

I can deal with this loosing water as its better then no car. It will suffice till i can afford a brand new radiator. Which is next month so hopefully it soldiers on

It is struggling to start when cold though :/ any ideas?

The crack in the lid along with cracked rad will not let the cooling system pressurise, and if its not pressureised its going to cause heating problems

It *could* and its a big could hault the car from starting cold, but id guess a a sensor thats not reading right when cold only way to test is live data from opcom so you can see what each sensor is doing, but if you can live with it id wait till new rad and cap to see if its a pressure issue
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Thats the plan. The lad who i give a lift to work said his mothers car was doing the same and she got her radiator fixed and it sorted it out.

So just gonna wait and see

Thanks johnny :)

Its getting harder to start. Took 5 attempts to start just there. And my exhaust is blowing. Fun.

So need some exhaust putty stuff and that should suffice till i have the spare money. May aswell get the sportex race tube exhaust i seen on ebay with backbox for 130

Make sure your keeping an eye on the coolant levels, lower it is harder it will be to start

Think you should buy a rad first:P but definitly buy the spirtex after :D gazza has a vid of his with sportex straight pipe and backbox in his project if you want a preview

Started making a proper blowing noise then instantly lost loads of power today. I ran out i water so topped that up before work. Cars been sat since 10.30 last night at work. So it defo cold. Started fine but still making blowing noise / lagging. Can feel it jumping wanting to go. Gonna throw my spare coilpack on when i get home and if that dosent solve it im f**k.

Just took my coilpack off and it let off a hiss as if it was holding pressure. Checked to see if any sparks where loose and they were all fine.

Replaced with the original coilpack as it turns out it works fine. My new coilpack just turned up today so got that if needed.

Jacked car up and found out why its blowing.

Fron where the flexi meets the pipe it has snapped about halfway. Im guessing getting some exhaust bandage will make it a bit quieter hopefully. So need some of that

From what i seen its all a single piece pipe from manifold to backbox. Whats going prices in these anyone?

Am i better off just getting the whole sportex exhaust for 130

Because i imagine that with it all being one pipe its gonne be expensive to get a replacement oem one

Just took for test drive. Power is back. Just very noisy due to cracked exhaust lol. Lets hope she survives. Its horrible not having the trust in your car you used to have untill it broke lol
