its 22mm on mine anyway lol..so im guessing there all the same?

Well i've been to Halfords and they didn;t have 21 or 22mm sockets so i bought a 4 way wheel brace instead. Going to have a crack this evening - if it doesn't work i'll just return the wheelbrace to another store and get sockets instead

My wheel brace has the right size on it to do the job.

Just finished changing the steering wheels over - it turned out to be a 23mm nut. My advice - buy the removal tool!

I ended up wrapping a ratchet strap round the steering wheel and round a lamp post then tightening the ratchet gradually loosened the wheel til it popped off and ended up in the back seat.

Car feels much better now and obviously looks better.

My idea of DIY is selecting the best hammer for the job, no good with anything mechanical - i didn't break anything and in my book that's a job well done lol

A quicker way at that point is to put it in first and sink the gutty. :shock:
