Well not posted on here in a while again. Been in and out of the UK with work but got abit done on the car.. Still no where nere but it is going into paint in the next few weeks for the whole shell to be done on a spit..... Thought I'd update agian
Offered the cage up
Had a stab at making the box section for the front of the cage. Really happy with how its turned out.
New engine arrived
Fully rebuilt topend with bronse guides all new, 1.9mm Cometic head gasket.
Block bored to 87mm with a slight deck, Regal under piston oil squirters, Crank reground, Mahle cossie bearings, Eagle rods with ARP's, ARP mains and head bolts, JE pistons, Z20LET oil pump with modified pickup, All new gasket set.
Made the some more feet for the cage.
Did abit on the Bay.... Rust free and ready for paint
Got all the box section for the cage and the harness bar properly welded in now.
All primed.
Just offered up the plate for the harness's
Offered up my new cooler and rad under my new pro-tech lower slam panel. Fit's spot on:)
This is the only bit of rust found on the whole shell which I'm really pleased with. I just put abit of primer on it while I was away in Saudi. Just needs cutting out and replacing with a new piece.
And a little collection of bit I've been getting over the months. Once the shell is eventually done I aim for it to be one big airfix kit
Spot of welding done.
Plate for the Belt points, Will get a touch of seam sealer ran round before paint.
And the little spot of rust repaired. All cut out and even kept the factory gromet hole
And again needs seam sealer over before paint.
Got a few bits for mine off my mates car that is being stripped.
Clutch and Fly Wheel. Going to get the clutch re-plated before it goes in.
Fuel Set-up
Got all the underside completely de-rusted, prepped and painted with Epoxy Mastic 121. Not cheap but bloody good stuff
All ready for a nice coat of Blue
Made the cuts before paint for the bias pedal box.
Getting everything ready for the powder coaters.
Did abit of stitching on the beam to give it some strength too.
And a couple of goodies turned up from the US

New gauges will replace the Boost and Narrowband
Ill keep updates coming and try not to leave it nearly 2 years again
