major update!!
been a busy boy ever since the engine mount arrived
got the new mount fitted to the engine
also finished tidying and modifying the xev wiring loom ,had to chop the plug off the corsa loom and splice it onto the xev loom and modify a couple of sensor wires as they were wrong
then it was time to get the engine in the car, had a helping hand from my dad for this
so we dragged the engine out to the car and we had to wind the axle stands up so the engine would go under,
then we came to a bit of a problem
the anti roll bar was in the way
so off it came and the tie bar was swung out the way, loads of room then
we had to use a renault jack to get the engine up a bit so we could get the proper jack under, this was the really akward bit lmao but once the bigger jack was under the engine was easy to get into place, got it bolted up on the drivers side then had to loosen all the passenger side mount to get it too line up, all lined up ok then everything was tightened up, all in all took us about 2 hours to get it bolted up, then put the tie bar back on
heres a few pics of it
and the alternator clearance, which is good considering ive seen a few conversion with this engine and they rub on the chassis leg, cant get my head round why mine is like this but im not complaining
well thats what we got sone today, quite a lot really
comments welcome
