hehe thanks man, the whole idea of me doing this was to make a factory look installation as if vauxhall had done it, do if a put in any chrome that will ruin what i went for.

Iv being trying to design the external bodywork and i think the only thing thats really going to suit it is the GSI kit .... but i feel like this is a bit overdone now so i am looking into other ways :)

Hi people,

And i got round to getting some more tidying up done in the engine bay :

Im picking a powerflow up tonight from garner90 so i should be able to get that fitted tomorrow and hopefully get a exhaust connected up this should make it run and sound 100% better.

I also have all the parts for my gearbox and sloth welded up my linkage for me as my welder is out of gas :( so ill get that all fitted on friday along with the shafts and hubs etc then she is ready for the road test :D

And a few pics of how sleeperish the car looks :

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the lack of updates over the past week or so, iv being busy trying to sort out all the little problems and getting big jobs done, i have not really taken any photos of the work due to the fact i get stuck in and forget to take pics.

Anyway the major update is that the car is finished ! She is running and driving i just have a few bugs that i have to iron out first.

The things i have left to do are as follows :
  1. Get gearbox sump plate
  2. Fit gearbox sump plate
  3. Fill with gearbox oil
  4. Fit air sensor
  5. Fit lambar sensor
  6. Gum Gum exhaust joints
  7. Polish entire car
  8. Clean inside and detail
  9. Final overhall & polish
  10. Get tax disk
  11. Declair change on logbook
  12. Insure it
Anyway here is some pics of the final result :

Hi guys,

Ok so a wee bit of a update this morning.

Still no logbook from DVLA :( so still cant drive the darn car atm, but iv being collecting some more bits & bobs to do other things on the car in the mean time.

Took a ride to scrap yard the other day to pickup some electric windows from a corsa that was there last weekend but sods law was against me and the car had being crushed and there was no other corsa's with electric windows there.

However 3 new ones came into the yard while i was there and i spotted that one of them had a spoiler fitted. When i inspected it closer i noticed it was the genuine Imry spoiler with the break light fitted into it. While taking it off i managed to break it in two places, the breaks are very clean however and i am in the process of repairing it today :)

Also got myself a set of genuine GM mudflaps + Fixings from the same car so it was a good day for me :)

Other jobs i have being doing it removing the LED washer jets that someone had fitted and fitted some genuine ones in there place thank god !

Also managed to snag myself some GSI clocks from a Tigra, the car they came from had 72,000 on the clock so i had to remove my millage counter from my old clocks and transplant into the GSI clocks :), While the clocks were in bits i removed the gray front to them and then fitted the black front from the old clocks.

I have not had chance to take many pics but here is a few of various bits :

First off im getting her flaps out :

Flickr is playing me up atm so ill post more pics up later when i plug my phone in.

Hi guys,

Right thought with today being a fairly nice day i would take some pics of the car and i had to give it a quick blast round the block

STILL NO LOGBOOK !!!!! Arrrrrr DVLA are a right shower of s**t being waiting for 5 weeks for the logbook after sending it the V62 from to claim it from when i bought the car .... so untill i get this back i cant declare it as a 2.0 16v so i cant tax it correctly and obviously no insurance.

So enough of a rant here is some pics :

That's all i have taken for now still working on bits and bobs but i have being really busy for the last two weeks so the car has just being sat there .... still started first turn of the key this morning though :)

What do you think.

Quick Update :-

With standard airbox the engine kept cutting out due to oxygen starvation ... so i have got a new air filter for it for the time being :

Image
Image

Improved the acceleration and general smoothness of the engine a great deal ... please ignore the horrible battery ... collecting a battery jacket later in the week so that will be nicely hidden away. Also the new bonnet lining has dropped alot of brown dust onto my engine :( iv just this minute sprayed engine down with engine gunk and ill go out in 10 mins and rinse off.

Right guys ... update time :)

First off this morning took a drive to see Rob, where he handed me leather seats and springs/shocks and off i went happy as larry.

Anyway I got the front leathers fitted today along with the rear shocks ... thinking of stripping the back seats out totally now to be honest as I never really have passengers.

Here is todays progress pics :

The only bit on the leathers thats even close to bad is this :

Image

Being told will cost me about £40 to fix so thats not too bad to be fair :)

And here is the car with the back shocks fitted :

Tomorrows plans are to get the front shocks and springs fitted, clean and polish and finish the de-rubstripping on the drivers side :)

Thoughts guys ?

Another update :

Got round to fitting my front shocks and springs today :) its now sitting very low !

I also removed the front splitter as this was catching on every bump i went over haha.

Pics :

And with splitter removed :

Also took a trip to paint shop and picked up some primer, White paint, and laqure so the next job is to spray the wheels nice and white :)

Future plans are :

Smooth out front bumper and colour code
Fit GSI arches and skirts
GSI Spoiler
Strip out back seats

More to come !
