ok well ive taken a look at the ecu and noticed this block connected on a slide holder:
Ive noticed that there is a green wire going into it but nothing coming out the other end. I assume that this is what you all are talking about. When I get a chance to go scrap yard I'll search for a wire which can replace this.

It will be hard to find a rev count from a 1.2 8v as I think only the GLS version had it and its rare to see them in the scrappy as they are the fully loaded corsa. would a 1.2 16v do or 1.2 12v?

any corsa might have a rev counter, its a trial and error situation, plus any corsa could already have the pea green wire installed and just a non rev counter dash fitted, so check every corsa pretty much is your best option, thats if you cant find one with a rev counter already fitted.
