is there any power going to the coil? find out which pin on the plug is live and try a pat tester on it to see if its getting power. if not then it could be something to do with your wiring!
also might be immobiliser? im sure if your old engine in the corsa had immobilser you have to unplug the transponder and remove it for this engine to work, even if it doesnt have a immobiliser. thats all i can think of atm :meh:

the 2.0 8v engine wont have immobiliser, i was just wondering if the car did, but car doesnt seem to have one either! id test live wire going to the coil with ignition on. if theres no current then thats your problem, no power goin to coil. if there is power goin to the plug for coil then the problem is going to be either plugs, leads or coil. another idea is the engines earth. have you earthed the engine to the body, if the engine's not earthed it wont start. hope this helps a little and hope this gets running cause i love the 2.0 8v's engines

Sorry for my useless imput then lol :) honestly thought they were imobilised as standard! Can
U take out a plug and test the spark by resting it on engine to earth then turn key (like a typical chav would with a 2stroke moped lol)

no spark and the pump works when attached to a permanent live but dose nothing otherwise.
the relay clicks like it should as well,
going to put a LED light to the coil today and hopefully that's the culprit

any ideas were the earth to the body is????

my bad, your engine will be earthed. nothing work when engine isnt earthed and remembered your starter is working so the engine will be earthed. have your missed out any earths in the loom or anything? running out of ideas tbh :meh:

no mate there all there, just did the LED light test on the coil and it was lighting up fine so i think tomorrow ill check the plugs once again
if that fails, could the air flow meter or crank sensor actually stop it from running or just make it run rough???
