Here in MK some senior and regular members from the local cruise site mkcruise attend quarterly meeting with police at a local weatherspoons bar to discuss any issues that they have. Generally the relationship with police here and the cruisers is brilliant. We have even had the local fire brigade down on a sunday night at the cruise demonstrating how they remove people trapped in cars. Thats how it should be. Not racing and basically breaking the law. If people are genuine car enthusiasts they will keep the racing on the track.

Hi all, just a reminder that the boys and girls from the Fire & Rescue Service will be pleased to see you at the Cruise this Sunday. We will have our usual display of photos, some more freebies to give away (courtesy of our friends from the Road Safety Team) and possibly a video or two if we can crank the old generator into life! One of our number is also threatening to bring his (very) Old Skool cruiser along, but only if it isn\'t going to rain \'cos he hates cleaning it!!
We are still planning to do a full-on mock car crash on 28th August and we need some volunteer casualties! We are looking for 2 young ladies and one fella, preferably who all know each other. A safety briefing and full protective clothing will be provided, and we promise to leave most of your fingers and toes attached! Volunteers please come and see Keith this weekend (look for the red and white tent), or PM me, Fireman Sam, via this forum. The faint-hearted need not apply.
