PRICER wrote:fair play, even i wasnt brave enough to strip my engine right down, hope you intend on keeping it for a long time as you'l have spent a little fortune when you add it up towards the end on inlet and exhaust gaskets, head gasket, 8v baffle sump with (gaskets already on), and main and big end bearings, cam belt kit, new piston rings, bore hone, water pump, oil pump, head porous mod,
im still planing on doing this to my own car in the spring / summer, plan is to buy all the stuff i need, then just go at it for a few days when im off work with my mate and get the engine all cleaned up. wer trying to get a list together of what all would need done, i wana do a good job but at the same time im thinking of how much its all gona cost.

cheers guys! yeah im planning on keeping it :) im looking at around £230ish to rebuild bottom end, that should get me paint for block, core plugs, bottom end gasket set with 8v baffle, piston rings, main bearings, big end bearings, mains bolts, rod bolts, water pump! not going to change the oil pump due to expense really plus dont really need changing tbh!
