nice!!! how much was the head gasket kit and head bolts? as i need to get a set for mine
and have those head gaskets got a sort of visial identification to see if they're standard or thicker? if they have where abouts can you take a photo as wouldnt mind checking to make sure mines standard thickness...

erm think head bolts were £10 for set, gasket set around £35-40 and belt kit was around £70-75. not sure if gasket is marked for identity, ill have look 2mra! sometimes it goes by colour, one i removed was red so this one is different.

no, just ordered them off net. actually they rang me after i made order and said i had ordered the early timing belt kit and the late type head bolts, so they was checking if i made mistake. so think somewhere down the line someone has put in wrong headbolts maybe or vauxhall did that on a few cause they said sometimes people order like that, i just went with what i ordered thou as same as parts i took out!

setbacks today
well firstly breather had been painted few days ago so i now fitted it
then baffle gasket went on and then fitted pick-up pipe
then put sump on and started to torque down and a bolt snapped, so had to all come back off again
here pic of snapped bolt, i eventually got it out but sump is cracked a little so guna have to weld that when i can
