I always heard you just put oil through it and catch it to pour it through again, not a clue how it works myself might read up on it

Mine had abit of mayo on the dipstick when all the oil was drained so i got 3 and a bit litres of diesel and ran the engine for about 30sec then drained that, changed oil filter and filled with new oil and it worked a treat :)

I've had to drain mine to get my head sent off and be skimmed :(

can't wait till it's all back up and running again before PVS! :)

I've seen some horrible looking oil come out of engines but I've never seen it come out looking all like that, there's normally abit of black oil sitting in it
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway :thumbs:

All the black oil came out first, the water came flying out at the start and then the mayo coloured gunk came out, horrible stuff haha

Just done my head gasket and it was the same colour but wasn't as bad as Jamie's

I've no idea how to either so gonna be a while and I need it ready for PVS as well..:(

Just been quoted £200-£220 for my head to skimmed, head gasket fitted, fuel filter, oil filter, fresh oil etc..

is that a good price to you guys or a bit much?..

Change the oil and filters yourself? It would drop the price quite abit i'd have thought

rather just let them do it mate, being charged £600+ at most places if you ask me so I'm not complaining with £200 :)
