yeh the costs all add up.
thats good thing about corsas-u can make them look good without bodykits etc...
seeing as your fairly nifty with painting..u should do what im doing-spray the bumpers and arches white
iv seen it done and looks the tits
im also doing my mirrors white-i see yours are already done.
u can pick up spoilers cheap enough as well, and obvs u can prep and paint it yourself and save £100.

i need to replace the left wing mirror cos the adjuster bar pivot ball snapped off sumhow...i cant just place it to easy either from gettin the bar from scrapper...might get a black one and try doin it white...either that or get a pair of chrome ones or sumin. I just redone all the wheel arch trims in black...i was thinkin bout doin the bonnet black and gettin the roof done aswell but didnt cos might looks stupid and is expensive....will just get gsi bodykit and get the whole car done in some shade of green. Either kelly green or signal green once the interior is done and it basically the last thing to be done cos will set me back a shed load.

o right didnt realise u were going for respray.if i was gonna spray mine id do it in either a baby blue,or just have it redone it white.or maybe pearl/creamy white.
this is one of the nicest corsas i have ever seen...i think its spot on personally.

i think i prefer the black and white one but mayeb with the green ones boot install then done in a gloss/candy kelly green. I only like the bonnet on that 3rd one. Well...if i was payin for the car to be done i wouldnt have done the exhaust/spoiler quite so extravogant. the green is where it is at though

good luck with that! and yeh i kno what you mean.cars can have a totally different look at night. i think white cars look really good at night(as long as they are clean and shiny) coz they stand out.

Finally finished paintin and laquerin everythin!! Just gonna be reassembly when i wake up later today. Might sound daft but how u get them door bits off? was lookin today and theres no screws, do they just pop off if u prize em up without takin out any screws from the door card/handle area?
Might aswell do tomorrow as got a bit of paint left and can they only small, can just leave em to do there own thing while i ferry parts back and forth from house to car. Ill get pics up it all goin back in and it finished tommorow evening probably.

I finally finished the dash console area and got it all back in. Didnt have time or batteries to take pictures. Got too dark now anyway..will get some up tommorow...looks pukka though. Still gotta do the doors yet so looks a little funny, but u can see what im goin for.

yeh them door bits are probably the easiest bit that comes off...all u gotta do is pull the handle out, then just prize it gently and they will pop off.and puttin them back on is even easier...just open the handle..push em on and they just click in..mine didnt even take a push,i just let go of the handle and they popped in lol
yeh i look forward to seeing how your dash look, will give me some more ideas.but i know you have put alot of effort into yours so i msure it will look good.
im probz gonna get some more primer, paint and laquer next week and do the bottom plastic bit of the doorcards, the surround by the dials, and the ashtray

yeah...i will leave the doors fors for a couple weeks still probs cos im busy with travelin to see other mates at uni's and back to uni myself and the first week always busy. When i get time i will do them and maybe the pillar A pillars and the trims along the sides of seat by doors and the rear ash tray.
I replaced the heater console bulbs with all green ones and it looks pretty nice....so i think i'lll do the same with the speedo this week. Was pretty fast getting all the dash back in really, took like 3 1/2 hours give or take and a bit of tidying up. The hardest bit really is gettin that centre heater console al connected again. The mechanical wires that aree puched/pulled to work stuff are not so flexible and leaves litttle room to get everything connected. The Air con smells lynx fresh aswell! used chocolate shampoo and hot water an cleaned it in the bath before i sanded it down. Now the paint smell gone it smells of artificial chocolate again! I advise u do the same lol

yeh really does sound like your interior is gonna be top quality.i really want to do alot more work to mine, but just cant b assed yet lol..i havnt even had the car a month yet...so big stuff can wait til the summer
i wanna change my bulbs to blue and get white dials but too much hassle for me at the moment lol.

changin the dial lights is soooo easy man.. all u gotta do is unscrew 5 screws and unlip one clip. Can get bulb sets for like a £10 off ebay to replace the standard yellow glow bulb with coloured ones. I will upload a little tutorial with pics when i do mine for u to use so u can do urs some time if u want.
You Cant really see most of the interior unless u walk close by lol...so all the girls will see is a standard corsa with green dome, dasy tray and dash bubble by passenger. so maybe not chassin...but has already been turnin heads today from most pedestrians (i live near on a busy road next to high street) while i was puttin it back together.
