Starting to look more like a engine again now, bolted down the head today :D

fair play looks smart :) what might be of benefit before you put the cam cover on is to get oil and absolutely drench these cams and followers so they dont run dry for the start up as all the oil galleries etc will be empty :) but fair play looks smart ;) oh get a small brush and paint your dipstick bolts silver ;)

thanks mate, good idea on the oil, think ill do that then before cover goes on. need to get it powdercoated first thou, its a right mess. and i can see what you mean now with breather bolts :lol: ohh and do you know where timing marks are?

the crank timing mark is on the pulley and the plastic backing plate, and the cam timing marks should both face up and there should be markings on the cam cover, think its both up, as its opposite to a small block 16v as those face together but these are 90 degrees out

few small things done. painted alot of stuff up as weather has been nice. fitted a few of them on engine, cant really do to much on it thou til sort out camcover and waiting on few deliveries, today i just fitted timing back plate, cam pulleys and dizzy back on...

Yea theres gona be parts not seen that are gona get dirty fast. At least can clean the top section down easy enough.

yeah, shame it cant stay clean forever :lol: i think ill clean the engine good every month maybe, i got a pit in the garage so can get underneath the car easy
