Hmmm, even if I did put it back together it's still £220 to repair it
but the garage down the road would be taking it off, skimming the head, cleaning out etc but it's already half done so they can't charge more for labour

Rather get it done at garage imo since I'll have a guarantee with it if anything goes wrong

Had an estimate of £500 to have the engine completely rebuilt, so I'll be going to PVS in a hire car
but will still be saving for the corsa to be repaired and back on the road in the mean time!

Don't have a garage to do it or a driveway since my dads old project is sitting on it
but think I'm gonna get the wheels off to give them a refurb in white instead of satin black maybe..

I'd have no way of getting there
I'm asking round for a bigger engine at the minute though

Can get an engine for £100 off someone that's done 53k but need someone to fit it, anybody know someone?! Nearby to me! as I want it being done asap before PVS if it's possible otherwise a hire car is definitely what will be done on the way down..

Just the same one mate, not really fussed about a bigger engine until next year, just glad to be back on the road again!

Sounds a good price
I was happy to pay a similar amount for a 1.0 when my old one messed up
