im lost.......well i know what your getting at but the shaft could still pop with no pressure being on it when its needed to keep it in and the inner cv could slip further down the shaft with no circlip on it? well in theory, never done it that way ive only ever put the washer on the other side

last time i looked it hadnt come out to far, although now its knocking more etc.. going to have a look again today see how far its come out, think im just guna try the washers first and see how that goes. still got loads of small little problems need doing

the whole conversion is a problem lol thats why i went carbs roll on just two wires wooooo

right had look at shaft and can do the washer, but need a new outer cv joint first as its been cut short and if did washers wouldnt be enough thread for nut! ive also got fan running now so thats another problem sorted, but you know how it goes, got another problem come now driving home last night and it must have cut out about 30 times on my journey home (15miles) seemed thou that it always kept cutting out when slowing down for like a junction or roundabout. anyone have any ideas to what it could be?
also towards end it started like kangarooing alot the engine

Have you tried your new ecu on it??

if you rev it does it keep it alive or just instantly cuts out

yeah had new ecu in since friday harv, it been fine really havent lost spark yet!
jayybull it just cuts out instant, had a mess around this morning and when move afm a little engine cuts out, i guess its not ment to do this?
i moved it around thou so the plug going into it isnt as stretched to reach it as it was before and it hasnt cut out since!

well 300 miles done now, getting better all the while, been a week since lost spark last so that seems sorted, been a few days since cutting out stopped, so hope thats sorted now, and now it actually starts on cold, so getting better and im happy only things now is seems battery drains fast and getting oil in header tank, its only bits coming up the side thou so i think porous head may be fixed, just wana get it all flushed out before i put in new header tank and coolant! took a few snaps too...

well, started running crap on cold again other day, getting a new maf soon as i think that is the problem! also brought new dizzy cap as that abit worn too and probs not helping! also yesterday car broke down, cv come out the gearbox and now need a new inner and outer cv, yet more money on this engine, getting annoyed with it now
