Was just going to say that ;)

Thats disgusting that they think its acceptable to fit them like that! At least you found out before something seriously bad happened! Has he fitted stuff like that for a lot of people around then?
my hands are only like that on Friday, Saturday nights ;)

and your telling me mate, it's possible that he has and the even worse thing is he works in a garage and has worked there for the past 4/5 years?! who knows who else's car he's tampered with and made a mess of tbh!

Oh god! How can he work in a garage for 5 years and not know how to put coilovers on.. Worse his mate would stick by him! Atleast you and your family and friends won't go near his work! Just hope other people are as lucky as you were

A garage who a "friend" worked at I let a 'qualified' mechanic fit my coilovers for me along with my exhaust, I wouldn't ever go back there again tbh with you mate, I've got some new top cups as well just need new top mounts now due to the rubber being worn down as well, I'm going to VOSA about it because it's a mot station as well and if there doing dodgy work like that then they could get closed down which I'm taking further anyway, I'm not leaving it at that's I wouldn't of been bothered if it was me that crashed or whatever, it's more to the point that MY family were driving the car round and if anything had happened it would be on my conscience due to getting them fitted by that person and letting them drive the car..

Telling me mate, all because of not putting some simple bearings in between the top mount and cups!

Aint seen them worn down like that for ages. Cowboys eh. Pure scum out there, it seems it's harder to find a genuine worker then it is to stumble across these scumbags. Makes me wanna chin a c*nt when the f*ck sh*t up like this. Costing you money from all directions!

Tell me about it, apparently it's because there poo "Chinese" coilovers bit of fail when there Japanese as well  but it's nothing to do with cheap coilovers.. It's due to how there fitted to the car in the incorrect way! and Andy I only paid £20 for them to be fitted at "mates" rates so no point arguing for it back really mate, just gonna get them done properly next time tbh instead of them being messed up! Coupe77 was a massive help though for noticing it before worse came to worse, I'll pay him to fit them next time because I know it'll be done properly!

the funny thing is mate Barra has the sane set and his aint done it so they are a set of useless badger Imo as the saying goes a good tradesman never blames his tools. I think that garage needs to learn that phrase

There german coilovers that are tüv certified

That garage is full of bellends that probably wouldn't know the difference in a spanner and a hammer  I'd be billing them for coupes time anyway, there liable, you should threaten to take them to small claims court, the threat of a lawsuit should be more than enough to get them to open there wallets

I wouldn't blacken the name of any mechanic as i know how easy it is to make mistakes but they should have sorted the problem out for you in a heartbeat, and blaming the coilovers just shows that they have run out of excuses  but those seats are amazing
