You still going to the show Dan? If you are you should hopefully see the finished (well finished parts that can for time being) there. I'm trying to do as much as i can between now and then!

NAAAOOOOWWWW :P
I can't either  It still won't be fully finished before the show as i wanted to get the gsi front bumper on and a few other bits. This isn't going to happen yet as i need to cut the front end off and reweld a new slam panel as the car was involved in a front corner bump before i owned it. You going to the PV Show as this will be the first time the car should be on the whole done?

A little update.

I've been messing with my wiring again today and my car has finally got central locking!! :D Yay :D

I've wired the whole lot myself using the haynes wiring diagramme. Tomorrow will hopefully be a rear 12v acesscesory plug, carry on with the foglight wiring ready for the gsi bumper and a few smaller bits.

Right then a big picture update for you.

I eventually finished off fitting the new flocked dashboard after issues with missing bolts (pictured below) and after wiring up my central locking, ipod lead, message scroller and front fog lights. Before putting the dashboard back in i tided the wires up and wrapped them up so they looked neater and standard.

These pictures show what the wires looked like before being fully tided and hidden.

Image

Image

Couple of pictures showing the missing bolts and them araldited in place! (This was difficult as i had to make sure they were perfectlty central, otherwise the dash would not attach through into the bulkhead)

What the bolts should have looked like.

Image

What they looked like!

Image

What they looked like after i araldited them.

Image

Image

Picture showing part of the Flocked dashboard. (you can just see the A pillar which i painted white aswell)

Image

I have added this picture to show you the difference between the Flock and the standard plastic finish.

Image

I then put the centre section of my dash back in place showing the black and chrome painted sections. I really like this section as it's a contrast to the Flock. (if you look to the top right of the centre console you can see why the dash is coming back out/being swapped.

Image

Another section i'm really pleased with is my painted door handles. Eventually (if it can be done) i'd like to have the door panels flocked and then paint the bottom section of the door plastics.

Image

Ok a quick picture (not very good as difficult to st it scrolling whilst trying to take picture  ) Show's my support for the site!

Image

I have also added my front vented wing and my eyebrows to the car.

Image

Image

I have also added my painted black scuttle panel and my de-locked passenger handle at last (so both door handles now match shiney black)

Image

Image

Image

Here's a picture of the car with all the Chrome alloys on it. (don't think i've added one yet). The centre caps are still missing as i tried to laquer one to make the chrome shine more but it bubbled unforunatly. Thats a job for next few days!

Image

Unfortunatly the dashboard is now going to have to come back out as it bubbled and cracked in the heat we had! (The company i bought the dash from believes there was too much silicon on it so it didn't adhere properly). They have said they will swap it for me which is good.

The sideskirts will finally be added in the next week or so. Can't way to see them finally fitted properly to the car.

Comments welcome. Let me know what you think.

Cheers.
I've only got one at the moment. Cost me sumthin like £45 on ebay! Would like a second one eventually but just one looks good by itself at the moment.

Cheers Dan,

I'm pleased with how it's coming along (although slow). I was trying to work out how much in % i have done that i want to do to it. If i include the engine conversion i recon i've only done around 25 - 30% of what i want to do!

Yeah just had a look at your log and replied to it. Would be good to see some pictures!

Well it's nice to know the car's having an influence on people! :D

The good thing about Corsa's are they are great first cars, great to do up, and there are several different parts available and readily available for them!

My project is NO where near finished. Far from it. :)

Just takes time. So far 5 years! although i only work on it when can get time to, when not at work. Work every saturday for example. This is my first car.
