but i thank i will b able to put bike carbs on my 8v for very cheap so what is the best cam i can fit with out pugrading my ecu??? and where is the cheapest place to et gasgets and cambel kits and stuff? and has any1 got any cav/calibra v6 brakes for cheap
if you put a 1.6 cam into it, it will idle very lumpy but once you're spankin it it will pay dividends, and is a lot cheaper than a performance cam. Unless you do want to pay out and get a Kent cam kit, which comes with everything you need (including belt).
A decent head gasket will suffice and your best bet is local motorfactors!
You cant run your bike carbs on the std ECU anyways so that needs to be chucked. You need to get a vacuum advance or small ECU eqiuipped dizzy to run the timing and thats it! Off a 1.6 cav is probs the best bet (see adam-d's project post 'lil hooligan').
It takes some work to get them going...so be prepared!
