Hi all, new here. Just got my very first car an Opel Corsa viva 1.0 5 dr! yeah!
Anyways got some seat covers and mats to spruce her up a bit, what with her being 8 years old.
Put in front covers no bother, got to the back seat and pushed it forward but the problem it wouldn't go back.
Mechanism seems to have jammed. The bolt in the mechanism hasn't released far enough so that pulling the seat will release it fully.
Have tried BRUTE force, that didn't work. Checked the seat belts weren't caught in the way etc....
Is there access to the inside of the seat without having to rip the seat, i.e. does the back fabric cover come off the seat thats held on by clips without damaging the cover and the clips permanently, is there some kind of access to the mechanism? Does releasing the two torx bolts release the mechanism so it can be taken out. Or if anybody knew the location of a schematic of the mechanism/ seat that'd be great!
Thanks guys

Re: Rear seats- problem
this happens to the back seats in my corsa i pushed in the buttons and pulled them forward with no trouble but when i go to push them back they get about half way and get jammed.. basically all you have to do is push the buttons in at the same time as hard as you can.. and push like hell.. it took two of us to get mine back ... hope that helps
