Hey people, I can smell petrol inside my car and its quite strong

I think i have a leak somewhere because i filled up £20 of petrol the other day and now i hardly have any. The weather has been poo so havent been able to check it properly.

Anyone got any clues what it might be or what to look out for? Thanks in advance

i have the same problem but not leaking fuel.. cant notice it on my fuel usage..

check the valve under the back seat of your car.. this is where your fuel comes into the car..

unless its coming from the engine compartment i dont have any idea

if you have found out whats wrong keep me informed

cool i will go check and let u know if i manage to fix/find out what it was.

What it could be is the seal round the Fuel tank (Which is under the rear passenger seats)

could have gone so ur fuel is evaporating

or just that there is a leak at the front where your fuel goes into ur engine then being blown into the interor of ur car

I have looked underneath and there is definately a leak from underneath engine somewhere. Cars too low to stick my head under haha! Gonna get a mate to look for me as i dont have a clue haha!

I love when i put the heating on etc it smells of petrol. I get high whilst driving...ooops lol

well.. i took it too the garage and they told me its not coming from the engine bay on mine.. and that it could be a cracked fuel pipe just by the fuel tank.. but there was no visible leaking signs from it.. so i dont know only can smell when rag'in the car which sucks =/ makes me drive even more faster :Pand when at low levels going round the roundbouts

Dont give people ideas they will all be making breather holes in there fuel pipes to get high carl lol
