On my main display unit with the speedo and fuel gauage etc there is no rev counter as i only have the basic 1995 1.2 litre corsa twist. I was wondering how could i fit a new unit which has a rev counter in it? is this an easy thing to install?

thanks in advance,

sam

im in aus so you probally wont have the same shop, its supercheap auto. pretty much connecting it is very easy.

there are 4 wires one is for ignition power (cigarette lighter is a good spot) the other is for the tacho light i just ran it to the battery and added an inline switch. the other is earth and the last wire is the signal wire.
so look at your distributer cap and follow the lead in the middle and you will see very close by your ignition coil which has a plug attatched. the plug has two connections.

one of these connections has two black wires coming out of it and the other is a single green wire. this is your connection point. expose about 1/2cm of the green wire and just connect your rpm signal wire to it and taada you now have a working tacho
