would a good service sort this??

ALSO
as its 10 years old now im thinking a good service anyway!

u need a good service and u will also need to change all the filters oil filter air filter use a good oil

and get some wynns engine flush

wack it in and high idle it say 2000 rpm no higher for 15 mins it will free all the engine up get rid of the carbon build up make sure u drain all the oil from the car then remove the oil filter

once you have done that put the sump plug back on use new washer put ur oil filter on use a good filter not a poo halfords one lol

and then fill your car up the best oil is probs castrol GTX or higher its 10 40 watt oil

use a K and n air filter :)

in mine i have a cone filter and i had to remove the whole airbox and cept the cold air feed to the filter but i am hoping to get the full induction kit

if u have a cone or induction kit just hover your filter and it will be fine :)
