please help me solve this problem

i have a corsa 1.0 w reg, when starting up i drive for about half a mile and it just dies, then the engine will turn but wont restart, i have to leave it about 15 minutes then try again and usually starts, then drive off again then it dies again. the engine light flashes as its going to die, it has a little z in the centre.

the same happens with the spare key.
the rac man has said that his machine does not recognise either key i use.

i have replaced with a new car battery today but still the same happens. a local man said its the immobiliser ? but i thought it wouldnt start at all if it was that ?

any ideas please

also wont start with a jump or bump start

i've heard of the immobiliser kicking in shortly after startup so it could be a problem with your key? i would say try drivin to vauxhall to get it sorted asap.

also i could be wrong but don't try bump starting it as i was once told not to bump start cars with a Cat (i have no idea why)
