Not Impressed with the Corsa

Post by Stuart_SRI »

Me and the corsa really aint gettin on well at the moment so decided to take it off road for the time being

got a few problems

one, the new wheels i put on are causing problems still. and to add to that i hit a pot hole the other nite and the handling now seems really loose and non responsive.

secondly, its driving like a learner would, shuddering and juttering. Think this is due to my new spark plugs not being gapped properly, but it could be i need a new fuel pump

thirdly, my new bumper isn\'t gonna be ready for another two weeks due to the body shop having a lot of work on for show cars needing to meet deadlines.

so the corsa is being garaged until i can be bothered to sort these problems out

you are probs right on the spark plugs being gapped wrong, could also be the ht leads going to them if they are not new, if you know how to use a multi meter check the resistance, if not, try looking under the bonnet with engine running at night. you might see \'sparks\' coming from the leads

you should hear your fuel pump clunk in if you turn the ignition over one notch.

dont give up mate. mines been in the spray shop for longer than i can remember and i havent thrown in the towel yet

im sick of mine

i cant carry more than myself and another person without the wheels catching at the back, it runs like a bag of hammers in the morning, it knocks badly in the morning. it wobbles when i brake hard, sometimes its hard to get into 2nd and 5th gears

... the list goes on

the most common cause for brake wobble is warped brake discs.

i think its just where the engine idles lumpy for the first few minutes, because the oxygen sensor has been removed. i havent heard it running for a while. cant be that bad to change, might do it myself
tell him the water pump was fine when you left it with him and get him to replace it for yah! after all you left the car under his supervision
