Knocking sounds when turning

Hi people

My cars now put another spanner in the works for me to fix :(

When turning left or right when on the accelerator there is an awfull loud knocking sound like something is very badly wrong.
It doesn't make the knocking when not on the accelerator, just when on.

I've read a previous post about a CV joint but not sure what it is and if it could be. Is it a big job?

Thanks in advance 8)

Danny

Sounds like the CV joint has gone. Its not a BIG job but for someone with no idea i would surgest getting help. Buy NEW not old ones because they will prob be no better. Make sure you use CV grease (Green sh*t)

Thanks for you response guys :D

Told my local garage and they suspect it's the CV joint thats nackard. Got it booked in for Thursday to have them replaced.
They said to prevent using the car till then as it may make it wrose or break off altogether.

Thanks

Danny

it shouldnt break off all together unless u really driving like a &^%$. Sometimes its cheaper to buy the shafts than just the cv boot, for the sake of possibly a few quid more u might aswell get them done, makes sense really! ! hope all goes well fella!
